New Poll: Are You Getting The Series DVD?

There may not be much info out there about the Blade: The Series DVD, but it’s been mentioned so many times by the writers and cast members that it’s just about a for sure thing. Whenever any new information comes out about the DVD, rest assured you’ll see it here.

Anyway, what I’m curious about is how many of you are planning on buying the DVD as a gift or for yourself when it comes out. I’ve given you three choices: Yes, No, and Maybe. It’ll be interesting to see how many intend on bringing home the series.

I’ll buy it just for support–I’ve downloaded the whole thing recently from iTunes not realizing the show had been canceled. What a tragedy.

Darned right I’m buying the dvd. If the series doesn’t end up having a second season (I desperately hope that it does), I’ll simply treat the dvd as a movie (albeit a thirteen hour-long movie!) and watch it over and over. So, that would be a vehement yes to the poll question.

Ok all, I’m afraid I have bad news about the show… well i asked someone at comicmonsters.com if they would private message jill wagner on her myspace and ask her about the odds of a new season. Response= not good. She said if the show was getting picked up, it would have been picked up all ready:( and she says the only thing that could bring it back was dvd sales. *goes into corner and sobs*

Yes I read that as well Courtney.

My first thought was the source of the information and its true credibility.

My second thought, assuming the source is credible, is that the cast is not New Line, nor DSG (David Goyer).

My third thought is I would not expect any news related to a second season until “after DVD sales” , “After feedback from the UK airing or any other syndication airings”.

My fourth thought is most networks, IMO, would wait to see what product is available in the Late winter and early Spring of 2007 and analyse what product they want to run in Summer and Fall 2007. Blade the TV Series will definately not be a first choice for any network based on the lack of audience in the first season.

While I would say this is not the “best” rumor I have heard I would not put a lot of weight into the negativity.

Hope that makes sense and KEEP ON KEEPING ON .

omg… i just want a second season so bad! after reading jill’s response, and after getting upset, i began to wonder if jill misunderstood the question. maybe she thought the person was asking if the show would get picked up by spike, and that’s why she said what she said (or maybe the poster posted in a hurry and didn’t get the right message across) *sigh* it would just be SO great if we could get picked up by another network. if we do get another season, i’ll celebrate by getting a house of chthon glyph tatoo on my wrist! well… i’ll probably have to wait until i’m 18 to do that, but it will definitly be on my list of things to do.

The DVD is not released as of yet. Expectations for sometime in 2007.

Burned copies of the TV series aired on Spike are available on Ebay I have seen.

FYI: All episodes are available on Microsoft Xbox Live in 480p definition. I’m debating on whether to download them or just wait for the dvd’s. Unfortunately there’s been no announcement on a release date.

I will be buying the dvd of the series when it becomes available, such a shame that there will not be a second series. It went down quite well here in the uk.

I have been waiting and waiting for series two to come out only to find out that there will be no second series. That really sucks when you get into a show and wait for it to come back the next year only to find out they cancelled it. Why the hell even put a new series on only to take it away. I just wish creators would think about the people that actually do watch the shows instead of always the ones that don’t. It really gets annoying year after year sitcoms after sitcoms that get tested a few weeks to a year and then vanihsed just like a vampire. Blood sucking producers.

Well, I’m a 35 year old mum and wife. Sounds even older now…
And I’m loving the the series.
Got the entire first season, watched it within 2 days during maternityleave…
And got really upset with the fact : no season 2!
And then a network here in Sweden decided to get season 1 on the air, so now there are even more angry people…
It’s studpid to just make one season and air it, but it’s even more DUMB to buy that season knowlingly ther’s not a another on…

Well I’m still hoping for a new season with this cast, perfect..

i hope that there will be a second season , the dvd did come out last month. but if anyone don’t recall
family guy it got can after it’s first season on fox and cartoon network made it a hit. just everyone buy the dvd and pray that we will see it again

i liked the series there releasing it on febuary 12th the producers said if the dvd sells well it could bring back a second season but with a different network, if not they should do one of those straight to dvd movies to at least finish the story.

I’m a big fan, and I’m buying the series for sure, I’m just hoping that theres enough DVD series sold to bring back the show. I’m really anxious to see what happens next. Its really upseting that they kept us in suspence of canceling the show in the most wrong timing of the show. Where Marcus finds out Krista has been working for Blade.

yer but i think there just going to see how the complete series dvd sells before they think about doing a second season. But they should do a hour or half hour special if they dont bring back a new season to at least finish the first series story.
