The unofficial fansite for the television show Blade: The Series.

I’ll be closing the current poll around 8:00 pm PST tomorrow (not an exact time, just an estimate). If you’ve not voted yet, make sure you do it tonight or early tomorrow to guarantee you’re vote counts.

I’ll post a recap and analysis some time on Wednesday before the next episode airs. At that point I’ll also give my thoughts on who Krista should end up with. I don’t want to give my opinion beforehand as it might influence a few votes one way or another.

After this Wednesday’s episode I’ll probably put up a new poll (probably some time Thursday or Friday).

With last night’s episode pushing Krista into Marcus’ corner, I’m curious to know what you all think about it. Should Krista end up with Marcus? Should she and Blade start something up? Should Frederick come back and sweep her off her feet? Maybe the less likely Shen, Collins, or Boone should be her companion? Perhaps she’s best by herself.

I’m pretty sure I know how most votes will go, but I’m still curious. I have my opinion but I’ll try and stay impartial until the results are in. As for when they the poll will close, I’m planning on ending it next Tuesday. I think the poll really shouldn’t run into the next episode since it will likely have a huge bearing on people’s thoughts, thus changing their minds midway through the polling.

So, you’ve got just under a week to vote. That should give you all enough time to calm yourselves down over last night’s incredible episode.

The favorite character poll is closed and the results are in! First, I’d like to thank everybody that voted, it was a great turnout with 230 total votes. I hope to do many more polls in the future, as well as doing the favorite character poll again sometime in the future. Anyway, below are the final tallies.

The Results:
Krista: 32% (74)
Marcus: 30% (68)
Chase: 17% (30)
Blade: 9% (20)
Charlotte: 8% (18)
Shen: 2% (7)
Frederick: 2% (4)
Boone: 0% (1)

So, as you can see, Krista won, beating out Marcus by only 8 votes (2%). Marcus actually was far ahead of the competition for most of it, but Krista made a surge the last couple days to beat him out. I had a feeling it would come down to those two characters since there seem to be many fans of their back and forth relationship.

I thought Frederick would have had a few more votes since he seemed to be a favorite, especially among the ladies, but I guess is limited screen time hurt him. I’m not surprised Boone only received 1 vote as many dislike his character immensely. I was a bit surprised that Blade did so well, since it seemed as though many didn’t like the TV version of the Daywalker. Apparently he isn’t as hated as I thought.

Anyway, thanks again to all you participated. I’ll likely start up a new poll after this week’s episode so be sure to look out for it.

I’m going to be closing the favorite character poll some time Tuesday. While I’m still getting votes each day, I figure that the poll should end before another episode airs since people’s impresions of the characters may change after each show.

After I close the poll, I’ll do a recap post, showing the numbers and talking about it a little bit. I also plan on doing another character poll after the season is over to see if the results change much over the last few episodes.

I’ve added the first poll to this site and it should prove to be a popular one as I’m asking you to vote for your favorite Blade character. The poll is on the right sidebar and gives 8 of the biggest characters of the show. Let me know if there’s somebody you’d like added to the list.

I’ll be running the poll for at least a week or two, maybe more depending on the response. After I close the poll I’ll post the results and we can see if there are any surprises. I’ll also likely run the poll again after the season is over and see if the results change at all.

Once the poll is done I’ll put up a new one, with my goal being to have one poll running at all times (or at least close to all times). I’m sure you’ve got a favorite character so go vote so that you can support him or her! Also, feel free to discuss your choice in the comments below.
